We help provide education and a brighter future for children. Our project is improving the living conditions of children and their community in Mshomoroni, Kenya.

We want to positively change the lives of the entire society.
"We are building a training center in Mshomoroni. The area is very needy, and education is hard to access. Before the school opened, for example, the children were busy playing with crabs on the beach and waiting to see what life would make of them. Together with your support, we can change the lives of these children and provide them with opportunities!"

How our school was founded
"Grace and Harrison Nyundo had the idea to establish a primary school in their hometown of Mshomoroni in Kenya. They knew that hundreds of children in this region had no opportunity and no access to education. The reasons for this were a lack of financial resources as well as the great distance to the nearest school."
"Harrison decided to quit his job at the hotel to dedicate himself, together with his wife Grace, to their life's work: to build a school for underprivileged children! They started with a budget of CHF 90 and five children. Today, we have over 190!"

What do we want
Our goals
Real classrooms
The school consisted of four metal buildings, as it was not financially possible to construct permanent buildings. Our goal is to build more permanent structures.
School Registration
We would like to be officially registered as a private school. For the registration, the government requires solid buildings, running water, and clean sanitation facilities.
Education
We want to provide the children with the best possible education and infrastructure. Everyone should have the opportunity to attend our school and receive an education.
Donate
We invest the donations in infrastructure, school materials, and new sustainable projects. We would be incredibly grateful if you could support us on our journey towards our dream.

The birth of the project
In 2018, I (Joshua Schmidli) started the project of Harrison’s Primary School in Switzerland. The commitment and effort that Grace and Harrison put into this project deeply touched me. From the very beginning, it was clear to me that I also wanted to be involved and help the children.
I started a fundraising campaign in Switzerland to raise money to provide the school with the financial means for renovations. In addition, I collected school supplies, clothes, and shoes for the children. A year later, I delivered the donations in Kenya, and the project was born. In the same year, I also founded an association, and now we are continuously looking for further support for the project.

I have known the school and the project for several years now and have always been impressed by the work that Joshua and Co. do. I was always interested in various pictures and reports shared by Joshua and ultimately made me want to finally get to know the school on site. And I'm glad I did it.

Etwa ein halbes Jahr bevor es endlich losging, wagten wir eine neue Herausforderung und beschlossen die Harrison's Primary School in Kenia zu besuchen. Dank der Hilfe und der guten Koordination von Joshua verlief unsere Vorbereitungszeit tadellos. Am 17. Juli 2022 ging es los. Bepackt mit mehreren Koffern und einem in eine dicke Wolldecke eingepackten Drucker ging es zum Flughafen.
